IceCast is likely the product you want:

http://www.icecast.org/

They have forums and mailing lists and howtos, etc... over there.

Wow, that sounds like a serious undertaking,

I thought about doing that some years ago until I realized
I would probably have to have a serious server or NT OS
and have major bandwidth for my connection. More than
just cable/DSL Good luck to you.

What platform are you planning on serving this radio station?

Streaming radio stations are cool, but I would recommend at least a dedicated T1 if you want to be able to support at least a good amount of concurrent online users.

One cable modem will probably only be able to support a few, not to mention it will soak up most of the connection.

You also might want to look into hosting providers that are designed for this kind of thing.
