Alright, been working on a redesign for my website - forgetting to check the php version - working on the site about a month now, and go to upload it for testing and what did I find? My websites PHP4!!! AHH!!!! NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Host: Startlogic.com
Version: PHP: 4.4.1
NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
I wanted my Zend Framework to work!!!

Haha.
You could always start a project that can automatically convert 5+ code to PHP 4.
That's what I'm considering as a porting tool for the framework I'm working on as a separate tool.

Oh well, looks like I'll ether need to: a) forget the new site, b) change providers (don't wanna) or c) wait till your done porting.

I wouldn't suggest holding your breath on my account. It will be quite some time.
What about using another framework?

Eh, its already built with ZF and it uses alot of it's features.
lol i already started looking for a host that will support PHP 5.
Startlogic don't even know if they WILL support it.

We should start a (sticky) thread for good php5 hosts. Would benefit us all and our clients. And then not a regular thread, but a kind of updated list with hosts and votes for them. Well, maybe a bit complicated. But a thread dedicated to php5 would be cool.
If I have some experience with one I'll post it. Not yet unfortunately.
