Osama Bin Laden and I were born in the same year...somehow I don't find that thought too comforting...

Yep - teenagers know everything and the parents are absolute idiots.
I was amazed at how smart my Father suddenly became when I was in my 20's! ;-)

I don't know, fractalvibes... I had the opposite experience. I idealized my father as a child and the older I get, the more I see just how much of an egotistical idiot I got some of my genes from.

The year I decided to start breathing on my own, Kirstin Dunst started as well and Randy Rhoads died.

It's a continum, for sure. Young children often idolize their parents. Moving into the teen years, the teens often regard the parents as imbeciles because they are not `with it`. Later on, whilst realizing that the parents are quite fallible human beings with plenty of faults, they also realize that those same parents perhaps have some good knowledge and perhaps wisdom, and the advice they give is not so bad after all!

Perhaps this is not true in all cases; young fools simply become old fools; Luckily I think my father, even in his mid 70's, is a pretty bright guy and has some great knowledge and practical experience to pass on.

Keep an open mind and ask yourself the same questions in 10 years..

Will do, but not holding my breath: his parents hold the same opinion I do at this point. :)

*waves* 27 (look about 19) and very new to php. Been programming for about 8 years though. I feel old reading about all these 14 year olds on the board. heh But it's really cool to see them here. Just remember to get out and enjoy life once in awhile.

I'm still 23...

23 Is an awkward age. It's like mid-early twenties. Nothing to look forward to, nothing to fear. It's just 23.
