I'm a simple man when it comes to beer. I'm a lager man. Carlsberg is my usual drink. Not because it is so much better than anything else.. it doesn't make me sick, it tastes ok and is cheap.

I'll second the Sierra Nevada, but there are many other excellent beers that I find become my #1 while I am drinking them.

I went to a beer festival this weekend and tried an ale called "Dr Hexter's Wedding Ale" which was... well, just brilliant. I have no idea where I could buy that usually though. They had plenty of disgusting 10, 11, 12 and even 13% beers and ciders though... naturally I gave a few a go
Usually I'll choose to drink Champion by Badger if I'm fancying a beer. If I'm just drinking a lager as a refreshment I'd likely finish up with a Kronenberg but I defo prefer a good beer. I hate the fact the you're hard pushed these days (in the UK at least) to find a pub serving guest ales. You have to make a point of remembering where to go.

There's too many, no single favorite. Those southern neighbors of me (Belgium) have so many great special beers, I haven't even tasted them all yet!
Leffe, Hoegaarden, Trappist, Duvel, ..... and the list goes on and on

see I've yet to taste any of those European beers... I'm looking forward to that on my trip over there.

Sure do! But watch out with the Duvels (translation: Devil). They are really dangerous!

My answer is as predictable as 1,2,3. The black stuff called Guinness. Failing that I prefer a nice mainland European beer. They're becoming more available in Dublin these days which is nice.

I've never drank just plain guiness. The only time I have bought Guinness is to make Irish car bombs which are by far my favorite alcoholic drink. This is how I make them (please let me know if I don't make them right)
1 shot of irish cream
1 shot of irish whiskey
1/2 to 3/4 a bottle of guiness (now that they come in bottles)
pour the beer into a mug, pour the cream into a shot glass, followed by the whiskey. Now drop the shot glass into the mug, and chug away. Awesome drink.

This is correct but you have to drink it fast because the Irish Cream will curdle. Another variant is Guinness, with a shot of Kahlua and a shot of Jameson. It tasts almost like caramel and it makes your whole mouth numb like you just went to the dentist!
But I prefer an Irish coffee with brown sugar instead or regular sugar with real heavy cream that is whipped into a froth and poured over and of course a shot of Irish whiskey, or Scotch. Or just take the most expensive Scotch you have and drink that on the rocks! Johnnie Walker, The Glenlivet, Balvenie,... mmm this gives me some ideas!
But as for beer, I stick to the 'King of beers' in a cold long neck!

Haven't had that in years...
This type of question really is very hard. It really depends on where you are and what time of the year it is.
If I'm in mexico and the pickings are slim
Dos Equis Lager. If I'm in the Pacific Northwest during the summer, generally a nice
Hefeweizen would be in order If it were winter a Belgian Tripel would be consumed. In Florida, (AKA The state of Nascar beer selection) its pretty difficult to find decent beer. (Not very many hops grown in Florida) so generally whatever I can get my hands...If I were in the
New England area I'd probably be drinking a very nice hoppy IPA or something of the sort.
All in all I'm not sure if I could pick just one there are way too many to love

If I get time today I'll list some other awesome imports I've had.
Speaking of beer. I just got my first case of this years
SN Bigfoot. Lights out after a couple of these bad boys
