@dave: lol.

I've politely pushed. The mods and admins have strong principles about how this forum is governed.

I'm confused as to why you need a whole forum dedicated for this purpose? Why can't you create a new thread or two in GD and handle everything in there?

I'll be candid, we voted the idea to create a new forum down as there just doesn't seem to be a need for creating an entire forum for a few discussions. Perhaps I'm missing something?

I agree with the admins as well, in fact... I think the 4 or 5 threads already started about this could have been one or two.

It's the same difference Dave. If you feel that strongly, set one up yourselves elsewhere. At least then it would be private.

Sorry, but that's the verdict from the moderators.

Not to sound too stern, but this is really not the appropriate way to handle this. Or any situation like this.

There is no reason why this project could be wrapped up in a single thread. The osCommerce project has been. This could be also.

I wish the request hadn't been presented the way it was in this thread, but the concern we had was one of privacy. If threads could be made private, we would have been requesting that instead. Because this team is representing PHPDN, we were hoping a private forum could be (temporarily) set up here. I'm not sure why the mods took issue with this, but I suppose we will have to set one up ourselves.
