It appears that my first post was in violation of forum rules so it was deleted.

Posting images is against the rules? That doesn't sound right.. Did you do something else wrong?

Edit: Maybe your obviously malicious theft of bandwidth!

No, nothing else wrong. Putting a copyrighted image iis against the rules I guess so you have to make a link to the site instead. I thought it was ok because the image tag was linked to the image on the dilbert site. Or maybe they just don't like dilbert here.

What can I say, I guess if you run a forum you have to worry about being sued. But I remember seeing images in the forum that I'm sure are copyrighted, and they were not taken down. Specifically I also remember avatars that people have as definitely copyrighted.

But thats too serious a topic for this post. You gotta love that dilbert comic! :D

Dilbert is very cool. Also - or mainly? - because it is sooo recognizable :)

I bet the maker of the strip has a regular job in a dull office somewhere, like an accountant or something, and makes the strips in his bosses time.

Nope - the creator of Dilbert is Scott Adams - he does Dilbert and Public Speaking full time, and also owns a restaurant and a vegetarian food service company.

He's a fascinating guy with a tremendous sense of humour - Dilbert only scratches the surface. Read his "blog" here: http://dilbertblog.typepad.com/ - you'll be glad you did!

We make attempts to make sure avatars aren't copyright infringement as well. If you or anyone, thinks an avatar or any other graphic used is copyrighted and not owned or properly licensed by the poster, then please report it to a moderator.

I thought that copyright infringement by users was the responsibility of the users, but I can see how it could translate over to you.
