Is it legal to scrape stock quotes from google finance?
I'm thinking about making this really cool webapp, but i need a bunch of stock quotes to feed into it. It is gonna be like a virtual stockmarket sort of. Is it legal to have a cron that will scrap quotes off of like thousands of pages every 15 minutes while the market is open? If not, is there a public feed I can use? I found quotemedia's XML feed but it costs a bunch.

I don't see anything free for you to use thus far.Google.com wrote:Personal Use Only

You may not take the results from a Google search and reformat and display them, or mirror the Google home page or results pages on your Web site. You may not "meta-search" Google. If you want to make commercial use of the Google Services, you must enter into an agreement with Google to do so in advance. Please contact us for more information.
It is free to add the general charts to your website though... It's the best I could do Stock Charts

There is one way to get this info as a service which is making rounds on the internet forums - but this goes against google's TOS for a public use.

If it violates their TOS, don't post it here.
