I have to say

I have to say that posting to this forum, I've learned more php than I ever thought I'd need simply by finding the answers to questions I'd never ask. Those of you that are huge contributors: kudos. You guys are obviously extremely knowledgable in the language (as well as others) and I think I'm going to stick around for a year or two. See what I can figure out.

So yeah, just figured I'd say it. I just realized I'm at like my 100th post (not exactly, but that'd have been pretty cool :) ) so I figured I'd announce my newly discovered addiction. :D

A while ago a collegue told me that he didn't have the imagination to come up with 'coding experiments' which would allow him to learn from... And i had to agree that i had the same problem.. However, since i joined phpdn i've actually found a remedy: look at other's problems and try to solve these.. You'll learn, without having to come up with your own problems... :)

(Right now i'm doing the same with another language, on a different forum, and i must say that it's working out pretty well :))

Totally agree Timvw. I have tried to come up for problems for myself when I'm learning something new and they have never been very good.

I have to chime in here too cause this is a mighty fine place
to ask questions. I don't know how it is that some people
here are able to look at several hundred lines of code that
someone posted and offer a solution in a matter of minutes.
I look at my own code with precise documentation and my
eyes still glaze over. :P

I mean some folks post here and think that someone is
going to do the work for them. Besides the fact that this
is extremely rude, I don't know why they would want this.
I don't want someone to just 'fix it' for me because I have
to understand the problem at hand for any future
occurrences that arise. The best thing is someones advice
and insight as to how to go about solving a problem.

On top of that I wouldn't want any one to just 'fix it' for
me because some people code like they live on Mars. 8O
A solution can be more confusing than the problem.

But in the spirit of superdesignz post: thank you every one
that has helped me, I hope to be able to offer someone else
help in reciprocation. :)

One word: Legibility:

http://webstyleguide.com/type/lines.html
The links above state the reason why I hate reading some technical documentation. But I don't have paragraph controls on the post form so I throw line breaks in when I'm done.
