need a good (free) email server for windows

Ye' old general discussion board. Basically, for everything that isn't covered elsewhere. Come here to shoot the breeze, shoot your mouth off, or whatever suits your fancy.

if not free, then cheap. I will need it for about 15 domains.

please don't turn this into a windows flamewar. If you have some suggestions, great, but please keep the windows bashing to yourselves.

I used mailenable a few years ago, and it seemed fine: http://www.mailenable.com/

that being said, I have no basis for comparison ;-)

I'm pretty sure you can get sendmail for windows.

EDIT | Oh ok, I expected GNU's win32 version of it to come up in Google but obviously there isn't one. Doesn't windows have an SMTP service built-in like IIS? As an option I mean? I'm sure I've seen that before.

you could also run a VM if you're already familiar / have records in a *nix environment.
