Admittedly, at times the moderator's can be upsetting without realizing it. I tried to point out once before that the moderator's are people, just the same as anyone else, and their have their quirks, as well.

Hooray, I thought maybe I wasn't the only one. But as someone posted in this thread, they don't come here for a SOAP opera, so I've tried to just let it in one ear and out the other now. There's not enough time in the day to go to deeply into the the birthing of a young calf.

You know, being a mod doesn't exempt you from being spanked once in a while. I take my share as much as anyone, just on different topics in different areas. There are rules to follow, and we try as hard as we can to peacefully uphold and enforce those rules. Sometimes we get short, but I certainly hope it can be understood that after seeing the same poster post the same question six times in six different forums without using code tags and speaking in aol l33t speak, it wears on you a bit. Throw into that mix that we see between 30 and 50 posts a day about
'HELP!!!' and '
URGENT HELP NEEDED' and '
WHY THIS DONT WORK? lol' and you begin to see that we, as mods, spend a lot of time moderating/instructing/directing and a lot less time helping.
I will say this though... if I have ever offended anyone with my tone or words, or if I have ever come across as an arrogant prick on a power trip, I sincerely apologize. It is my intent to make sure that everyone has as smooth an experience as they can so they can get on with coding and start spreading some PHP love.

I'm the mod on a work forum, and I'm more than happy to remain a user here
Moderating is hard, thankless work. I'd thank the mods now, but that would invalidate my statement.
So.... yeah.

By the way m3mn0n,
If you need a break from PHPDN, then take a break, but don't quit all together! After a 2 or 3 week Sabbatical you'll feel better. But if you do quit, can I have your handle?
