Ha ha! I try to avoid getting sloppy because I act like a fool. Unfortunately that took a lot of years of practice.
I learned from watching Clint Eastwood westerns and the like. Where as, he would go into a saloon and drink straight from a bottle of J&B, the whole thing mind you, and still have a sober eye and a sober tongue. Though, I would not personally recommend this method.
according to the topic title, i must remind you not to unit test while drunk
expect a pm!

I think most of Britain is full of plonkies to be honest. It's embedded in the culture. We all go out and get sloshed more than we should do... the sad thing is that we have a "reputation" for it though. It just takes that small minority to not be sensible about having a good time and it reflects badly on everyone else. The worst you'll get from me when I'm drunk is long boring ramblings about stuff that seems really interesting at the time
Copycats.... Like I mentioned, it's an accurate stereotype - the Irish drink way too much for our own good. And there quite a lot of peer pressure to "fit in" - not as bad as it used to be thankfully. I get along fine with a few pints since I'm not a fan of being so sloshed I act like a dummy and forget what I did the next morning. I'm with you d11wtq, I get talkative but never more than that. I think folk like us have a little switch in our brains that fails to engage when drunk - my sense of reason doesn't vanish . Others seem to drink two or three pints and turn into lunatics without a functioning brain cell.

Pub Culture is British Culture Stems from when the only clean water available was that accompanied by Hops and Barely.
I read in the papers a couple years ago that the British population consume more alcoholic units in one Saturday night, than most of Europe does combined, in a week.
