Support for PHP4 Ends December 2007

I think PHP 4 may last longer than PHP 5 after PHP 6 comes out when it comes to hosting company support.
I think it will be PHP4 and PHP6. From what I have seen PHP5 never took off and now they are trying to do PHP6. IMHO, when PHP6 comes out it should either have its own extension *.phpx or have a different tag like <?php6 and have it so PHP will interpret PHP 4,5,6 depending on the tag used (<?php4,5, or 6).
