RobotReplay

Has anybody here used RobotReplay? It's a usability testing tool that allows you to record what your users do when they get to your site. I haven't tried it yet, but it looks very cool (and free!). Let me know about your experience with it if you have used it.

EDIT: oops... forgot the link

Have you downloaded it yet? I tired but I am getting an error. It looks cool, as long as your users are not concerned with privacy.

I imagine that you'd only use something like this on a test/beta audience... or at least I would. Otherwise, you better make it very clear what information is collected by this script and why it's collected in your privacy policy.

Yeah, it would definitely need to go in the privacy policy. But that would be a hard sell, telling customers that there is a chance that their actual screen activity was being recorded.

yes, it really would be asking for trouble using this on your live website, but for testing it would be nice. This way you don't need a lab or a person standing over another person's shoulder to do usability testing.

I saw a demo of this at a TorontoDemoCamp a little while ago, looks promising!
