I remember when we got a Pentium I. The thing was a beast and my friends and I thought there could never be anything better than that, not in the near future anyway.
But 10years on and we have quad-core processors and a terabyte HD is nothing new. Heck, a dual layer Blu-ray disks can hold 50 GB.8O So much for DVD's.

Just think, in another 10 years we may have processors with 16-cores? :?:

Its actually scary if you think about it. When are we going to be happy with what we have? Are we never going to say, 'Okay, I think we have enough HD space and the processors are fast enough.'?

Well, It's not that I'm not complaining, I'm just thinking out loud.

Very well put.

It seems that people are forever trying to make computing faster/more efficient. As they do, they unlock technology that could not function without the technological advancements made. Which pushes technologists to discover more ways of making computing faster, which leads to...
