wow all you guys working 10 hour days! i could not do such a thing. i got 8 hours here but probably 3 are spent working, the rest are spent wishing i was skating. then when i get home i either go get drunk or run around in circles attempting to accomplish something that i end up not doing.

I agree, this is like Workaholics Anonymous! I can't remember the last time I spent more than a half hour working solid, honest.

8 hours of sleep
8 hours of work
8 hours of play

I love my day :)

Free time consists of either playing games, drinking at a bar with friends, or a little bit of PHP programming at home.

Red Bull doesn't really have a "bad" side effect, other than the caffeine speeding your heartrate up. I prefer my Vaults over any of those energy drinks (it's similar to a Mountain Dew).

Problem with the 888 plan is that showering, breakfast, the bathroom, and lunch, are all not included in work. So that means something has to give for you to get a full 8 hours of work. That something is often the "play time". On top of that there is always dishes, laundry, etc to be done, as well as other crap that comes up.

Even in a decently planned world, you can usually only do 8 hours of sleep, 8 hours of work, 3 hours of random crap, and 5 hours of play. Which still isn't that bad.. but isn't equally split up. :)

last couple of weeks I've been sleeping closer to 10-11 hours - usually it's between 6-8. I must be fighting something...

:? :? :? plenty???? why?? yes, I just wake up after 5 hours sleeping

but it's not my default :D

I think  , programmers need to sleep more than others , after long day of codin in front of harmful monitors , long sitted (I have a backache :( ) , etc.
