We jumped at 9,000 feet so maybe that was the difference....maybe the weather didn't permit the pilot to go that high.
yea that was exactly why. There was ice pelting my face through almost the whole 10 seconds. Bad weather. I'll go again some time and hopefully get better weather.

As far as being able to drink in the US at age 18, wtf are you talkin about??

Happy b-day ninja

I've a question and a blame (not sure about the word but polite one)

is it a good deed to drink.....???

I saw that all of alcohol-drinkers try to stop :?

I see it as a bad deed....am I wrong???

happy birthday NSG :-)

I did the skydiving thing a few years ago - loads of fun.. fortunately the weather was good at the time :-)

In Canada you can drink at 19, in Quebec you can drink at 13 (not sure if it's *technically* legal though...)

Awesome present at any rate.. hope your instructor was excited for the right reasons ;-)

Many people do not drink in moderation, and eventually need to stop. That need can become very public, which is why you are aware of many examples. On the alternative, people that drink in moderation can do so for many years with no ill effects. In fact, there are many studies showing that the consumption of alcohol on a moderate and regular basis can be beneficial to your health.

All things in moderation.

Back on topic, Happy Birthday NSG!

If drinking was the worst thing I did, I'd consider quitting. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you see things), in a day's time I'll do about 10 worse deeds. I'm like 50% evil.

Alberta & Manitoba (& maybe others) are 18.
Real programmers don't comment their code. If it was hard to write, it should be hard to understand.

If I didn't get so drunk I couldn't walk atleast twice a week I don't know what I'd look forward to.

Don't think there are enough students around here...!

Happy Birthday Ninja Goat Man. That sounds like a heck of a trip. I have been trying to talk my wife into skydiving with me but she is really not into it. I am terrified of heights, so it makes sense for me to want to jump, no?

Anyway, I am glad you enjoyed it. Now that you are legal, maybe you can make it out to the Bay Area and we can BBQ it up and drink a Guiness Draught or two? If you can put up with the kids and all (hell, you can do anything if you can willfully jump out of an aircraft that is aflight).

I'm going to a concert at the Warfield in San Francisco on Friday, May 11th. I'll probably stay at a motel and then the next day, maybe I could stop in and have a beerskie with ya! That'd be awesome!
