Adobe reader alternate download

Post by alex.barylski »

I'm trying effortlessly to download Reader from Adobe but the *^&@$#^& download manager keeps giving me error about files not being fully downloaded and/or corupt...

Can someone recommend an alternative installation? I need just reader nothing more likew the Google pack, etc...

p.s-I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the download manager to no end.

Man is this annoying :)

Between finals and music gigs, I've had less time to even have my main computer on. This week marks the end of finals, but the gigs kick up a lot.

I use FoxIt (when I am rarely on PC's). Adobe Reader is so bloated nowadays I avoid it like the plague.

I've got the latest redistributable package (no DLM) - sent a link to your email.

Thanks guys,

I'm using IE to start the download, but it's the Adobe Download Manager that was f**king up...thats why it was so annoying.

I uninstalled, searched the HDD for anything Adobe, cleared the registry of anything reader/adobe...restarted and still couldn't get that darn error to stop from happening.

I finally caved and download version 6.01 but at least it works :)

Have you tried a different browser by any chance? Not that it will make that much difference, but it might be worth a shot.
