I am leaving Paradise as soon as possible.
I do have to admit, the cops have probable cause to search me. I'm on probation from a DUI three years ago (less than a month left). I also have to say that the first 10-15 times I have been searched, I didn't get angry. The last few times (like 3 or 4 so far this year) I have been searched, I got very angry. I'm just sick and tired of being searched every time I get pulled over. They never have any reason to suspect I have something to hide. I'm always very polite until they say "you are on searchable probation. I'm going to search your car now". Then they throw my stuff all over my car and embarrass me in front of everybody in town. It gets very old.

I completely understand your point of view.
But here's mine:
Two years ago I lost my nephew. 9 years old.
He was waking on the sidewalks and got run over by some stupid drunk 40 year old pathetic guy.
He lost his license for (3months). YES 3 months 'no driving' for killing someone. Because he had 'social problems' he just had to go to some crapshait therapy.
So he's driving his car again for 1 year and 9 months now and I hope they search his car and take a breath test EVERY DAY if they could.
I hope noone else crosses his path of destruction.
Drinking and driving if stupid, immature and if it happens once, like in an emergency or something, I can understand that. But coming home from a pub, 4 o' clock in the afternoon and run over a kid: take your license away for life. Heck, take his life.

I understand that point of view. Like I said earlier, I realize I could have killed somebody and that would be far worse than what is happening to me now.
In my defense, I wasn't drunk when I got my DUI, there is just a zero tolerence for minors, so I got a DUI anyway. That doesn't make it right, but I'm just saying I wasn't driving around trashed. I'm sorry about your nephew.

Thanks mate.
Sorry, needed to stress more that I don't knew anything about your situation and it's not my duty to judge that.
Just giving my 2cents about DUI.
Needless to say the cops were you live seem like ...

Dude, I'd so move to Canada if it weren't for their calling ham bacon.

I still wouldn't call ham bacon. It's ham.

What's so cool about having seasons? We have them here, and I am not that excited. Winter is awful (wet and freezing), summer too hot, spring is like winter + summer at the same time and the only season I'd call acceptable is autumn. During no more than one month.

I'm a summer guy. If I could spend all day every day at the river with a beer in my hand, I'd be a happy man.

Montreal ftw.
Montreal offers:
* Me
* Full contact strip-clubs
* PHP Quebec Conference!
* Lots of tech companies
* Ubisoft makes its home here
* EA has officers, too!
* Constantly voted in the top 10 of safe and clean cities.

@jason: *
cough cough*
Toronto has beaches and
torcamp (and me, and jCart... am I missing anyone?)
Oh, and we have way cooler tech companies than Montréal (mozilla, ati, etc...)

To set the record straight:
Ham:
Bacon:
Back Bacon:
Canadian Bacon:
Also, do I understand correctly that US strippers don't take all their clothes off? Now
that's shameful!
