That is definitely NOT a pig that will be flying anytime soon.

That was my reaction as well. I thought it was a hippo or rhino. There is no way in hell that thing is a pig.

Mike Stone is having sausage made from the rest of the animal. "We'll probably get 500 to 700 pounds," he said.
I guess I won't be eating at Denny's for a couple of weeks

He shot the poor thing eight times without killing it, chased it, scared witless for over three hours before finally putting it out of its misery with a point blank shot -- after 3 hours

As a meat eater, I am somewhat of a hypocrite. I just cannot agree with the mentality of hunters.
Jamison, who killed his first deer at age 5, was hunting with father Mike Stone and two guides in east Alabama on May 3 when he bagged Monster Pig. He said he shot the huge animal eight times with a .50-caliber revolver and chased it for three hours through hilly woods before finishing it off with a point-blank shot.
What a red neck
Chased it 3 hours...if you can't kill the animal in the first shot (so at least it's civil) don't shoot it period!
I wish I could get a license to hunt hunters

That'd be sweet...a real challenge...unlike animals hunters would actually shoot back
Big pig...thank god I hate ham, etc...occassionally I enjoy some bacon.

unfortunatly, wild boars are hard to kill in the first place.
It sickens me though, because, tbh, it's his fault for not knowing that (or not caring enough) it practically needs to be a point-blank shot in the first place.

To make it sicker, his father and their guide both had high power rifles that could have taken that thing out in one shot as soon as they spotted it.
