Continuous integration with Xinc

Post by gfoster »

Yesterday saw the release of Xinc beta.

Xinc is an open source (LGPL licensed) PHP 5 continuous integration tool designed to integrate with Subversion, Phing and PHPUnit.

There is a growing awareness of continuous integration in the PHP world and we felt that having to rely on Java to provide this functionality (i.e. CruiseControl) wasn't on. Xinc's aim is to be the PHP 5 alternative.

Please take a look. We are grateful for any comments and/or contributions to help ensure the success of the Xinc project.

You can download Xinc at http://xinc.entrypoint.biz/ along with some basic (but we hope sufficient) documentation.

We are aiming to extend the documentation and non-core functionality of Xinc as we move towards am RC release. The basic functionality is in place and test covered.

Thanks!

Looks interesting. What are its requirements (in particular is PEAR required?)

Hi Weirdan,

Nothing is *required* beyond PHP 5, although it wouldn't be very useful without at least Subversion and Phing unless you write a class for other repositories/build tools.
