RUBIK'S CUBE!!!

Post by JellyFish »

Hey, I noticed I barely post on the General Discussions forum, if not never.

So I decided that I'd talk about THE CUBE! What are your recorded time to complete it, if you have completed it?

I don't know talk about anything Rubik's Cube.

The only time I've ever even attempted to solve one was at the age of twelve. I solved it, but I took the stickers off and put them on the side they belonged on.

Couldn't be bothered with it.

I believe I solved it once when I was 15. Not because I "got it", but because I got lucky. I can usually solve it further than my friends, but then I just get stuck, because I'm so afraid to wreck the solid sections that I took so long to get to, even if I know I need to.

I use the Petrus method which not one layer is solved till the first two layers are(two layers at a time really). It's been helping me brake my records.

Once you know the cubes pieces, and how it works, it becomes easier, also if you pick up the professor cube(5x5x5) then go back to the original(3x3x3), it looks like a baby toy. Last layers just a breeze of algorithms.

I'm surprised to see that there wouldn't be many speedcubers on these forums. 8O

I use to take it apart and reassemble it in the correct color scheme. To hell with spending that much time on it.

I'm also surprised!

I'm down to about 90 seconds on average on a 3x3, have never solved my 5x5. I also have a 2x2 which was kind of interesting. Cubes are fun :-)

My brother has a 4x4 cube and that thing just makes me feel dumb. I swear I can hear it laugh each time I look at it. I really suck at it. :?

But then again, you cant be the best at everything all of the time.

I didn't know they had anything other than 4x4. Maybe I should get a small one and feel smart-ish for a a day. ^_^

What's your record JellyFish?

I used to spend a lot of time doing it for fun, but haven't really done it much lately.
