Fun at work

Post by ptrpan »

What do you find yourself doing when you are procrastinating at work?

I usually find myself on the devnet site reading random posts. And as off lately, I spend some time on facebook (post during the voting for the awards led me to this.

So, I was just wondering what the devnet community does while doing nothing.

ps. I sometimes find myself in front of the fridge just staring into oblivion knowing that I wont find something to eat and that if I go back to my desk my team leader would've surely gotten me some work by then.

devnet, obviously and reading blogs.

Today, much like yesterday in fact, I was waiting for my boss to be available to talk with me on matter relating to our corporate website so I spent some time installing ffmpeg and ffmpeg-php (OO interface to the former) which to my delight I managed to get to work. Then I managed to display frames as images in an HTML list from uploaded movie files and filter out those images that are below a certain brightness threshold i.e. blank frames at the start and end.
