Leopards new skin.
If you have seen it then I may ask, are you like me, does it just seem... To... Gray?
I was thinking of something more like Aqua only 3D lighting! I think it would add a modern touch to an already brilliant theme...
What is Apple thinking?

I really like some of the new visual enhancements like the transparency on the toolbar and the 3D appearance of the dock (noticed it looks like a shelf now?). The whole "squares" stuff is nothing new really... F9 always did the same sort of thing. I like the new stuff in Finder and the awesome looking desktop stack
I'll buy it when they release it either way. Not sure what the UK prices will be though. $129 USD in Apple's terms probably means £129GBP for UK buyers even though that's actually double the price
EDIT | Ignore my "squares" comment. I was getting mixed up with something I saw ages ago... actually I think it was the "spaces" thing, but that's not the same at all

My wife is talking about buying me one for my birthday next month. In addition to the eye surgery I will be having in the next few weeks, the $2000 washer and dryer we just bought and the $2000 set of living room furniture that we are going to be buying in the next few days.
Do macs make you code faster, because I am going to need to churn out some savage code here pretty soon.

You know how most of us has made those sleek glossy buttons or glossy whatever? Well what I meant by 3D lighting is that the glossy highlights on the windows of leopard should change when you move it across the screen. I think that would be sweet.
I should of clarified that I was talking about the windows of leopard, I think they're crying out for help: "I'm gray! Please help!"...
It just seems to windows 98!

Just give yourself a hot pink background - that should balance it out.JellyFish wrote: ...what about the windows... The.. Windows... Gray, windows.
In all seriousness, grey is a great neutral colour when working with image or movie touch-ups. A bright blue interface *cough* Windows *cough* really throws off your eyes. I wouldn't be surprised it that fact played in to the decision to go grey.
Real programmers don't comment their code. If it was hard to write, it should be hard to understand.
Indeed. If my windows would have a color the first thing I'd do is install a grey theme. Certainly working with colors as a lot of graphic designers do (they all have macs) you cannot have a bright blue border around your working space.
Besides that, most task bars and application bars are busy enough with icons and menus already. The less clutter and distraction the better.
