SourceForge project removal

I posted a project sometime last year or the year before...around spring...it's been hardly downloaded...

It's branded in my company colors, etc and copyrighted by me...clearly it's mine despite being posted as open source.

About 9 months ago I requested they remove it and instead I got an email informing me that it's likely useful to others and for that reason they will keep it but remove my name from the project.

I gave up at that point as I could care less. Now however, I am considering re-persuing my project (the name at least) and starting a version 2 which will *not* be open source. I'm really interested in having that project removed and I am considering proper legal action.

Has anyone ever successfully removed a project? What were the reasons you needed to convince them? Should I get a lawyer to write them a letter?

How should I go about getting SourceForge to *listen* to the original author. :)

You should have just deleted all the files dude. Is someone else an admin for t now? If its still there request a project takeover, then kill it yourself.

Haha...naw...no one has touched it in ages (me being the last)...but that is a good idea...just delete the files...not sure I'd remember how though...

Cheers :)
