Congratulations. Its an amazing improvement for your health, your furniture (less tobacco staining!), your friends (no secondhand poisoning), and your own personal willpower.
You've overcome one of the strongest physical and mental addictions on the planet. If you can do that, there is little your willpower can't do.

I'm embarrassed to say I've tried three times to quit biting my nails, and never have succeeded longterm. Sigh. Disgusting habit that looks horrible, but I just can't get past it. (And yes, I've used every nasty tasting substance on my nails imaginable)Pyrite wrote:Good, cause I have a lot of other <span style='color:blue' title='I'm naughty, are you naughty?'>smurf</span> wrong with me I intend to fixThe Phoenix wrote:If you can do that, there is little your willpower can't do.

I cannot tell you how happy for you that I am. I quit a bit over 20 years ago at age 40, wish I had done it before I lost 40% of my lungs to emphysema with subsequent severe damage to my heart.
Of course, had I not quit when I did, I would have been looking at the wrong side of the grass for about 10 years or more by now, so I'm a happy person. All things considered, I'm doing great.
But I encourage quitters at every opportunity.
