Any idea about XML for keywords. Maybe you are looking for XML for pages?
Google Sitemap can be useful

SEO:

1 - write a lot about the specific topics you want to be searched on
2 - make sure what you write is (very) interesting for humans
3 - get people to read and link to your great content
4 - when people link to you or you can place a link some where, make sure the link text contains the keywords
5 - optimize your website codewise: clean html/css, good use of headers, links, etc

I would not worry about the search engines finding the content. A sitemap for google is nice, but I do not believe it matters much to your ranking on specific keywords. A single link and one visit of the search bot is enough to index your page (unless the website is a real mess)

Just so you know, it takes about a year (at least) to get any kind of desirable search engine ranking unless you've got a heavy community website. You gotta pay your dues like everybody else.

That's not true. I uploaded a new site less that a month ago and it's already in the top ten for a few dozen key terms. It all depends on the site.

same here... I've had sites get decent rankings in a matter of months. Generally speaking, it is more difficult to get good search engine results until you've been around for a little while, but it is possible.

Then maybe I should rephrase. Unless you have regularly updated content, it will take a long time. :P

And it will depend on the keywords of course. Ranking high for "search engine optimisation" is something else then ranking high for "salad dressing potteries" :)

Hehe.

BTW, onion2k and Ninja... any suggestion regarding driving traffic? For the blog I put up a few days ago, all of my traffic so far is Digg traffic, but I want to get traffic from other places as well. Digg is just the simplest way to do so.

Hehe. Thanks. I already "verified" ownership of my blog to Technorati, but I have absolutely no idea how to promote it there.
