Not just an occassional word here and there.

Scriptkiddie channel(s)? Yes, I'd agree. Penguin channel(s)? I couldn't agree.

Some channels dont have as many idiots, but its still 99% of the channels which do have idiots in them.

Considering we always say that JavaScript is client-side, if it didn't have it's own name, all of that would be invalid. Why would programmers, invalidate themselves?

For me, it's not so much a word, as a prefix: my-
myspace
myCnn
myDocuments
... GAR!
I *hate* that. Of course their my freakin' documents, it's on MY computer.... you can't escape it!
I also could live with the word "solution" being toned way down. Not every script or tech support call needs to be referred to as a "solution".

The only thing I don't get is how a service can stay "beta" for years over. I just wonder if they'll ever get rid of the word "beta," or if they just think it sounds cool.
