PHP vs Perl

Post by alex.barylski »

Found this...

After a quick scan it seems to be some kind of competition between groups of developers using there language of choice...possibly biased as it's sponsered by Zend...but still...

Thought I'd share. :)

There always seems to be some coder competition going on (according to Digg, at least). Must be pretty exciting . . . ? Unless the developers are narrating the production process, I can't see myself watching any of them, but they put up videos for them anyway.

Haha...I agree the actual event certainly wouldn't be very interesting, unless your the one possibly competing...

As far results...of course their skewed. Not all developers are created equal, so if the PHP team happened to be more experienced, obviously they would likely win. Being sponsered by Zend it's possible they selected the teams and made sure the Perl developers were actually graphics designers. :P

Still worth reading though, IMHO. :)

<Language> vs. <Language> topics are stupid and rot your brain. Spend time either coding, learning, or both, not comparing. Find the right tool for the job, then move on.
