The music I make when I should be coding

Post by superdezign »

When I don't have anything interesting to program, I occasionally get back into my music. I just made a song yesterday, and decided that I'd like to share it with the community. ^_^

It's on my Music MySpace as the first song. It should automatically play upon entrance. My equipment isn't quite professional, but I put ample time into trying to make it sound professional. I wouldn't want to hurt anyone's ears. :P

To those with slighted music tastes, I don't want you to be surprised with you get there, so I'll describe it. It's rap, and the track is my personal style of mixing hip-hop and rock, which is moreso a mix of southern-style "crunk" music and punk rock. Just a warning. ;)

And anyone who feels like commenting on it, I made the little layout on the Music MySpace.

I'm not much into rap, but that had a pretty good beat to it. It seemed a little inconsistent at times, but I guess, in music, you can get away with that.

Not bad man, not bad.

I like that actually :) I'm not really into rap but I do like music with a good beat (*cough* breaks *cough*). I did like that though.

That was pretty good! Not bad at all. I don't really hear the rock in it though. You need some rock guitar in there ;)

Hehe, yeah, the rock is clearly taken over by the bass, and partly used as the bass itself. After I released the song Survivor (also on the same site), some of the rap listeners thought the rock influence was too strong. I didn't, but I figured I'd tone it down this time.

That sounded pretty champ to me. Is that your own lyrics and vocals, or did you just remix existing stuff?

I'm personally quite humbled to work along side someone with musical talents like that...work along side as in...we sahre the common interst of software development.

Good job man...it's certainly has top 100 potential (assuming it's genuine and not entirely remixed) in the ears of pop culture...

Yeah, it's all me. I don't sample at all. I'm against it about as much as I am against unskilled rappers getting record deals. Where's mine? :(

For whatever reason the myspace player and placeholders don't draw for me (Firefox 2.0.0.4 with noscript and flashblock, among others...)

For whatever reason. :P

It's a flash music player, so I think we see the problem. ;)

No. The placeholder typically displays on all myspace pages. On yours, it does not.
