daedalus had Eclipse configured so that it would not close HTML tags for him because he hates now. It's doing it again and after looking for the option for, literally, the last three hours I am ready to stop using it.
The trick is you need a mirror with a darkening film between to peer through, because it's too bright to look at directly, otherwise it'll literally blind you.
I used it. I left no stone unturned! I found auto complete this and that all over the place, unchecked every box that even made me think of auto completion and by some miraculous amount of misfortune, eclipse is still finishing my xhtml tags.
Is that a plugin or its natural way of doing things? I have never had that experience in Ecplise, but I don't I have ever written a full XHTML document in it before either.
