Mulch Boy at a Feed Store. To this day I can't stand the smell of fresh mulch.

I've only ever worked one other job than what I currently do, which should be obvious. The job was preparing food for the crowds at the Canadian Open Golf Championship.. which was really cool because I saw a lot of great players, so it really wasn't that bad..
I guess I shouldn't really be posting here then

Probably casual labour on site. Permanent hard graft from start to finish. Strangely not stressful though. Bouncer, not pleasant dealing with drunks who get rowdy, and the worst part had to be dealing with people who OD'd.
Stress wise was probably when I was supporting 700+ servers running batch schedules 24/7/365 with only 3 people in the team. 3 weeks on 24/7 call, 2 weeks not led to major social life death and lots and lots of lost sleep.

I spent six weeks working in a food factory that made pies and sausages. That was pretty awful because it was incredibly repetitive and boring.

I've only ever done:
Shop work (several jobs)
Bar work (several jobs)
IT support
Programming
None of them were that bad really, but working for Woolworths was probably the worst. I actually quite enjoyed the bar jobs when I was studying

Ugh. I did that too. We never ran A/C in the building, 'cause it would have been far too expensive... so it was always 80+ degrees in there... summertime was worse. Then pressure washing the screens royally sucked, because the way my boss had me do it was in a small room with the pressure washer using only hot water. I would be covered in hot water dropletts in a room with a ridiculous amount of steam/heat.
On the plus side, I got a ton of free t-shirts, and I still will go in there occasionaly and my previous boss will let me make a t-shirt for free.

I've never worked in my life, besides work experience, which consisted of me having to seperate thousands of coat-hangers into two boxes. What a load of crap that was.

yeah I got a bunch too...unfortunately they all sucked. This company mostly printed t-shirts for rodeos... I'm not much of a cowboy so they didn't suit me too well.

My worst job wasn't actually that bad - just depressing: Stocking shelves at a farm supply store. It was fun, healthy work, but I'd just graduated with my CS/Math degree & was feeling under appreciated by society

My worst job was in a meat factory. Throwing bacon from pile to pile, from one conveying belt to the next. Cutting meat. The smell was awful. I was like 16 yrs old, and then being between 80 of these, how would I describe them, sort of Neanderthals working there. Them talking only about a single thing, a word I cannot use here. And making fun of me and my brother. Working from 7am to 5pm, then rushing to get to the next job in the evening, cleaning buildings. That wasn't the best summer I had

My worst job was as a jobber for a freight company. I lasted one day. One 16 hour day unloading five 53 Foot long trailers loaded end to end and top to bottom and putting their contents (boxes that ranged from 6 inches by 6 inches by 6 inches to 3 feet by 3 feet by 3 feet) onto pallets that were then wrapped, labeled and put back onto other 53 foot long trailers for distribution.
That job sucked beyond suck. All the other ones have been pretty cool. Except the flyer placement job, where I had to traverse downtown Fremont on foot for eight hours putting papers in people's windshield wipers. That was fun, and it paid a whopping $6 per hour. Ooo.

I was sore for a week. And my clothes never got clean.
The funny thing was that went there from a temp agency. Half of the temps that day quit before lunch. All of the regulars were gone after 10 hours. At the end of the day me, my friend that worked with me and two other guys were all that were left on the crew. Oh yeah, and the prick supervisor that kept telling us how worthless we were and that we would never make it in freight.
I guess he was right.
