I only have that problem with other developers.

As long as conversation doesn't turn into programming I find most people interesting as everyone is unique. I find that diversity helps me innovate, having been struck with ideas at the weirdest moments. I've lost count of how many times I've scrambled for a pen and paper during a dinner or while having drinks at a lounge. Granted I solve problems much better when isolated in a room for a few days straight but I find it impossible to "think outside the box" on purpose. If that makes anysense.
@d11:
I think geeks have lives. Losers don't.
I work around the clock monday through friday and sometimes saturday, so yea, I unwind on the weekend for a couple hours. Local bar usually has my attention on Saturday nights and occasionally the strip clubs when I have the money.
This city is pretty lively in the summer months as everyone is stuck indoors during the cold harsh winters (but beautiful sunny summers). We have a festival called Folklorama where every ethnic group in the city hosts pavilions where you can go and see the arts, culture and food of pretty much ever corner of the planet.
The Irish pavilion is awesome, the Ukrainian/Polish/Italian pavilions have wicked food and the Afro-Carribean pavilions are wicked entertainment. This year I plan on checking out the Mexican Pavilion. Maybe the Chinese one too, we'll see how time goes.

Good times. I'm quite proud of my little city.
