I have a question to any business orientated person out there.I have built a system and according to it's spec's i wanted to ask you as a general question what you would pay to use it.

Here are the specs:

Architecture

-php,mysql driven(of course, speed speed speed)
-Open Source Code
-Intranet Enabled,Internet Enabled
-Works standalone aswell.

Functionality

Database driven menus that are completely configurable.(unlimited levels)
Complete User specific security.(Session Driven)
WorkGroup related security aswell.
Dynamically plug in any PHP modules(e.g. PhpMyAdmin).
Completely configurable graphics.

Scenario

-You as an administrator can log into the system. Create,Update,Remove,Browse and Search Users,WorkGroups,Functions(menu items),Add existing PHP modules to the system via Functions Module(Your own code e.g. Employee Management,PhpMyAdmin).

So, you log in. Create another workgroup, create another user. Once this is done you can assign functions to the user(menu items) or create a function to assign to the user. When that user logs in he will only see the functions you assigned to him.

Modules available

Sales System.
Document Management System.
Timesheet Management.
Mysql Database Management.
Project Management.
Employee Management.

I can also build modules for you according to your requirements.

So what would you charge for such a system?I would be kindly appreciated if you could give me a reasonable answer.

Thank you for your time.

Sounds good, but I think you'll need a few more modules for a complete project/employee/sales management system:

Xmas Party Photo Gallery - useful to blackmail employees into forgetting about that pay rise
Bad Words Replace - replaces all innoffensive verbs and adjectives in office memos with bad words: a big time saver for your hostile boss
Office Flirter - sexually harass your co-workers anonymously
Shadow Book-keeping - auto-detects access by IRS officials and other law enforcement agencies, displaying a special version of your accounts
Business Jargoniser - similar idea to Bad Words Replace, except it utilises a dynamic, client-centered approach to proactively target corporate branding

I may be missing something here, but you listed "Open Source". Why make it open source, if you choose to sell it?

I don't like linux, and even I would try RedHat. Maybe he's got something here! :D

Thanks
