Hmm.. If that's the case, then I am not sure what could be delaying it. Try using a different dns server (4.2.2.1/4.2.2.2 or opendns)... though I'm not seeing the subdomain either...Everah wrote:GoDaddy updates their DNS very quickly. The TTL of enigmaportal.com (it is served by GoDaddy, right?) is 86400 sec. - that is 1 day ... So if you have made changes they would populate over the world DNSs for 1 day (worst case). it is not only about updating the GoDaddy DNS itself.Everah wrote:GoDaddy updates their DNS very quickly. GoDaddy lets you add subdomains under their virtual hosting control, not associated with DNS at all. It should take only a few minutes or hours to have a subdomain working if you follow their directions carefully. I have found them to be extremely responsive and helpful if you call them by telephone. It is not a toll-free number, so it might cost you some telephone tolls, but they are very knowledgeable and responsive.
I'm getting confused -- where is your actual server? That is, where are the HTML and other files for the domain and the subdomain?legend986 wrote:Well, I have another account at a different host. Is it possible to add the namerservers of that host to godaddy and then add the subdomain? WIll it work that way?
Ok ok.. I'm sorry... My main files are at http://www.abchosting.com in an account: myaccount.abchosting.com. This hosting has nothing to do with Godaddy's hosting offers. I just purchased a domain from godaddy and used the nameservers of abchosting.com. This is where all my files are stored.
Off late, I took up another hosting, xyzhosting.com to make a mirror site. What I'm asking is whether I can put up the nameservers of xyzhosting too in the nameservers listing at godaddy...

2 DNSs for a domain are enough - there should be no reason you'll want to do this.
BTW - you can have multple IPs for a same domain name. Resolving by the queried DNS is done in round-robin way. So, you'll have some sort of load balancing.
