The poll doesn't have an option for Windows 2000. Win2k is > ME, but < XP. Its pretty much the sweet spot too - no product activation / genuine advantage, but it still runs almost all the latest games.

Of course, I'm in love with OSX right now, so that was my choice. But if I didn't have my lovely Mac, I would have been forced to choose "Other".

Windows Media Center

Technically it's Windows XP, but it's got about as many different features as Vista does from XP. Plus it can see more than 3GB of RAM.

Poeh, the size of your RAM doesn't matter, it's what you do with your RAM

True, but as they say, you ain't crossing the Bering Straight in a row boat very fast!

Besides, I play a lot of graphics intensive PC games, and having 4GB available RAM on tap along with another 512MB VRAM sure does help.

Wow, should be running sweet then... And probably looking forward to Crysis then ;)

I'm still at 1gig but it's enough for personal use. I don't play computergames (anymore)

You have no idea ;). I'll be ordering a PhysX card here soon to help out even more.

OS X! :)

Since I switched I work very hard to avoid any IE bugs in the websites I build. The reason? To be able to keep the IE-testing period on my XP machine as short as possible

matthijs, the Mac version of IE is completely separate from the Windows version. There are tons of major differences, but then it also depends on how much you're stressing the rendering engine too.

XP until they can build a version of Linux where I don't have to mess with the console just to install a browser, swiss cheese hard drive partitions, and be forced to have virtual memory enabled.
