greeting comrads...long tim no posts unfortunately i have anotherannoying newb problem for you guys to hel me with....im using a wireless router on one PC on a dsl cnnection but the network isnt running t 100Mbps instead its running at half....what could be the issue?
both PC's are running at 54.0 Mbps i have the DSL router pluged into the Wireless and both PC's are plugged into the wireless router but only one PC is using the wireless card...the other PC is connected via CAT5...before i added the wireless router the one that is conected by the cat 5 was at 100MBps
Okay, so let's get things straight: you have a DSL modem (brand/model?) attached to the WAN port of your wireless router (brand/model?.) You have one PC connected wirelessly (brand/model of wireless card?) and other connected via CAT5 to the router. Correct?
the Dsl router is a siemans speedstrem 4200 and the wireless router is a belkin wireless g router...and i need to reitterate a earlier mistake i mentioned that both PC's were running at 54 MBps but only the one using the wireless card is the other is running at 100 MBps

Strange? That is exactly what you should have. Wireless G, as feyd mentioned, transfers at 54Mbps. Period. It will not go above that unless you have the Super G or Speedbooster type router AND wireless network card.
A wired connection is not limited by the transfer rate of the wireless connection.
