Did you break it? Problem? Something wrong? It's beta! Post here any problems you encounter.

Don't know what I'm talking about? Look next to the title of each thread on a thread page or check out http://news.devnetwork.net/.

Working well for me! Good job Jason :)

One thing... Can we have a link back to the forum's index page on there? Unless I missed it?

An... interesting idea, I'd assume.
It looks nice. :P
I'm just not sure what counts as news.

It's like Digg, but for forum threads ;)

It's for more than that. The idea is simple: find something interesting you think other DevNetwork users would find interesting? Something that deals with PHP or DevNetwork or web development? Come across a good thread on the forums you'd like others to read? Read something on IBM's website, a good article maybe, that you want to share?

It's mean to be collaborative sharing of information. I can't read everything printed on the internet that I might be interested in, but with a lot more people helping, I'll have one source to come back to. =)

Never disagreed with that. Just that it's not just for our forum threads.

And, unlike Digg, it's focused on the topics discussed here at DevNetwork. There is simply too much out there too remember and find, so when you come across it, you can quickly and easily link it with DNN.

What's Pligg? It looks interesting. Why did you choose to use it?

Most comprehensive Digg-like system around, and had the basic features I was looking for. It was also easy to integrate with phpBB without much trouble. I'd also seen other sites using it successfully.

Is the phpbb integration available online somewhere, ala a mod?

Unfortunately not, Jason has been very proactive since starting to frequent here again and has basically made all the modifications himself :)

Still playing with it. If I find anything useful to report, I will.

Yeah, if you find any issues, please, post them here. Anything you find annoying, confusing, etc. It's beta, as in it basically works, but is far from user friendly. I won't promise updates every day, but I am keeping any eye on things. Besides, I don't like to make constant updates. I prefer updates followed by a couple days of down time to see how everything works. I'll probably kick around a few things tonight, and push the update.

But yeah, anything you find annoying, confusing, impossible to use, wish lists, etc.

So every time feyd ever posts in snippets/crtique, it'll be top for a couple of weeks? :P

P.S. I'd like to be able to click a direct link to the forum from the main list, rather than a sub page showing exactly what I can see of the topic on the list, then onto ioreader :)
