unreachable net

Post by Stoker »

I am having troubles reaching a certain network in Norway from the US East Coast, I have tried from several locations and they all stop at a level3 router...

So if someone wouldn't mind testing a trace to the same ip from other parts of US, like central, south and west, that would be great thanks..

The address range that has problems seems to be 62.179.100.0 to 62.179.102.255
Its owned by Chello Europe, they have the block of 62.178.0.0 - 62.179.255.255 but as far as I can all the other ranges routes fine...

I've been testing on 62.179.100.80 and 62.179.100.50

here is my trace:

Code: Select all

traceroute to 62.179.100.80 (62.179.100.80), 30 hops max, 38 byte packets

Your route goes from germany via netherlands?

Anyone in the US that could try?
Perhaps someone that has a US-Europe reoute that doesn't go over Level3..

That contact information seems to be the whois-info? I am pretty sure that mailing support@level3.com or .net would result in a couple of hundred canned responses before anyone would actually read it

..it started working again this morning (after 2-3 days), seems like the missing link was between level3 and aorta within new york city somewhere...

Thanks
