I bought the 4gb iPhone, because I don't really use it to listen to music much. As a result, it wasn't a horrible drop - only $100 less than what I paid. Thats reasonable in my book for a first adopter fee. I was able to test (and improve) several web apps and sites that I regularly visit to work better in the iPhone. I also got a chance to try out the interface and get used to it.JellyFish wrote:Hey Phoenix, did you happen to get your iphone when it was $200 cheaper? If not, how do you feel about that? (I'm starting sound like a psychiatrist, or something...)
Its really a phone done right. There are definitely things I hope they will remedy (like can't send/receive pictures via mms, can't copy/paste, no 'quick reply' feature, etc). But those are software issues, and are likely to be fixed in an update.
The hardware itself is extremely nice, polished, and well-designed.
I definitely didn't mind the price change, and the offer of a rebate seemed like a reasonable middle ground. I don't think the rebate applies to the 4gb model, but if it does, I will happily use it to purchase a few iPhone accessories.
