I bought the 4gb iPhone, because I don't really use it to listen to music much. As a result, it wasn't a horrible drop - only $100 less than what I paid. Thats reasonable in my book for a first adopter fee. I was able to test (and improve) several web apps and sites that I regularly visit to work better in the iPhone. I also got a chance to try out the interface and get used to it.

Its really a phone done right. There are definitely things I hope they will remedy (like can't send/receive pictures via mms, can't copy/paste, no 'quick reply' feature, etc). But those are software issues, and are likely to be fixed in an update.

The hardware itself is extremely nice, polished, and well-designed.

I definitely didn't mind the price change, and the offer of a rebate seemed like a reasonable middle ground. I don't think the rebate applies to the 4gb model, but if it does, I will happily use it to purchase a few iPhone accessories. :)

Arrgggg, I want one, but I am such a cheap bastard that making a $400 decision actually hurts my head.

Maybe soon though I will have the precious.

Woohoo! Got the $100 rebate! So there was zero price difference for me, just less gb of space (which I haven't needed at all).

The iPhone is just one fantastic device.

If it wasn't AT&T/Cingular, I'd have one. I can't stand their horrible reception in my area. I need a phone capable of actually making calls :(

there's a fix for youtube, and as for visual voicemail... would be nice, but the pros sooooo outweigh the cons! this is the best phone I've ever had, bar none. And my last phone was a Nokia e70!

If there are any of you on the fence, consider this a nudge!

What's the big hype about Youtube on the iPhone anyways? Are people seriously considering this as a key feature?

When you're on Youtube as much as I am, then yes, I would consider it a key feature.

Its funny. I honestly didn't watch youtube that often. Maybe once a week, if that, when someone would send a viral my way.

However, now that I have the iPhone, I do find myself watching it a bit more. Not obsessively, by any means, but at least 2-3 videos a week. Having on-demand access to funny/interesting videos when I'm waiting in line, or similar, is really nice. Plus, at least a few people ask about my iPhone each time.

I even had a dude at the Arby's drive through ask me about it.

So, I don't think its a key feature (at least not for me), but it is oddly growing on me.

Apple and Google see YouTube as a selling point.

I see it the same way, especially considering I don't have a broadband connection. The only things dial-up stops me from doing are watching videos and playing MMOs. The iPhone would solve one of those for me. :P

Hey for all of you who really, REALLY want one, but don't want to pay. You could always try and get one for free! I found a legit site and I'm on my way to getting one. Follow my link in my sig if you would like to help me, by trying out for one.

Anyways, I'm so excited about the iphone! I don't even have one, yet I still feel like I'm caffeinated. 8O
