Part of being successful is knowing your competition. It hasn't been click based in 2+ years.
Hmm that long eh? The rampant referral links still scar my memory.. I still won't play the game based on that because of my attitude towards spam. :)
That's fine, although at the time it was one of the best advertising campaigns on the internet. :)

Also, about your other game, is that just a copy of the original...?

Ultimate Tower Defense? A copy of what original?

If you're talking about DTD, it disappoints me when people refer to Desktop Tower Defense as "the original" tower defense game and every other game as a "clone," because that couldn't be further from reality. The tower defense subgenre started out through custom maps in Starcraft many years ago.

Yup, good times. :) I think the coolest TD map I ever ran into was Poker TD on Warcraft III. You would be dealt random cards (in the form of towers, I think), then you could select several of them and click a button to make a hand with them and get a special tower depending on which hand.. like a Flush tower or a Straight tower etc. Then there was a thing to give gold to the dealer (tip the dealer) to increase your odds of getting better cards.. heh. :)

Everyone dies and the grunts take over the world.

If you liked Poker TD I'd suggest trying Gem TD :)

I wish I could but man.. it's almost impossible to play Warcraft III or Starcraft or practically any online game for me right now.. mostly due to how many ISP's service is set up. For some reason, my ISP apparently thought it'd be a good idea to give everyone in town with DSL the same IP address.

None. I spent half my life playing them because they are so addicting. Therefore one day, I said no more. Now I play maybe once every couple weeks. They are such a waste of time.

Damn that Diablo 2 for ever having existed and wasted my time!!!! Why the hell i ever played an unwinnable game in the first place is what baffles me.

I got through the bulk of achievements in Assassin's Creed a few days ago (including beating it.) It was a great game, overall.. but some of the control responsiveness during fighting was a bit annoying. The difficulty curve near the end also goes up, dramatically.

I'm working on Mass Effect now.
