I don't think Kieran was aiming anything at anyone. This is an open community forum, a place where people ask all sorts of questions. Your question was valid.

Who *were* you referring to?
Are you suggesting that I shouldn't raise problems I've experienced publicly?

You can raise any problems here publicly (that abide by the forum rules of course) especially when it involves the site and how it works. The only thing we ask you do in private is if you are having issues with another user to PM a mod vs post it to the world.

I had no one in mind, please don't take offense!
I guess I'm used to boards with more a-type personalities and less technical knowledge, which leads to many poorly-informed public arguments about board policy. As a paid admin I don't really have the option of ignoring them, so I guess I've grown a little sensitive in this area. It's sometimes difficult to remember to take off the admin goggles, but I'm happy to do so; The admins and mods here do an awesome job.
It's such a relief to participate in a board where the user base is both mature and knowledgeable. Go DevNet!

I must have come off the wrong way or something. No offense was taken. If I sounded that way please disregard.

Has there been an increase in "attacks" lately? I too have noticed several sites that are ahving issues; not all are phpbb though.. one other is phpbb, two of them are vBulletin and another SMF. Has there been another "Face off"?

To be honest, I don't that is what is causing our issues. I am not completely certain really as to what is causing the issue, but I do not believe it is attacks.
