Oh wow... I think I might finally ditch my IMAP server and just forward to GMail.

That's just AWESOME.

So does this mean that finally when I file a message it gets filed and iPhone doesn't still get it? Or when I send a message I don't get a copy in my iPhone inbox?

Right now when I talk to gmail using iPhone I get messages that all appear to be in the "inbox" on the iPhone. When I read them in Gmail then view mails in iPhone they are still there, marked as unread waiting to be read again.

Also, when I send an email using iPhone it seems it wants to put a copy of it in my iPhone inbox but not in my sent box of Gmail.

Understand now?

I think I understand now - IMAP access would probably fix all those issues.

Take a look at their recommended settings.

IMAP freakin' rocks, although I have no use for it as of now. But if my work took advantage of it, I would praise them ! Also, GMAIL went up to 4 gigs of space! I think it was to combat MSN's 5 gigs.

I still, unfortunately, don't have IMAP on my GMail account. ::sigh::

GMail has been pretty awesome lately. I switched 2 domains over to Google Apps for GMail with my domain, its one less worry for me and a much better interface. :)

Dude, the IMAP interface to Gmail is hot. I started using it a couple of days ago (since they finally rolled it out to everyone) and I love it. It is awesome.
