Anyone able to use the forums today normally? I tried last night but ever since yesterday I can't get a single response from the domain. It's like the whole thing just up and went on strike!

The DNS report does not look good!
[ERROR: I was unable to get an answer from the parent servers [j.gtld-servers.net], when I tried to find the NS records for devnetwork.net.]
That is the only way I am able to post here since the last few days.

As I stated earlier in this post.

It's quite fun isn't it? Sorts out the men from the boys. Feels a bit like a private club.

Posted this in the Site News post as an update, but I'll post here as well:

Me + Fixing DNS = Recipe for disaster. Thank god the HostNine guys are there to tell me "Um... no. Stop. You are doing it wrong." Once everything is finalized, I'll provide a much more interesting story. Until then, have I mentioned how much I hate networking and stuff?

According to several years of scientific data and computer cycles compliling trillions of terabytes daily... it has been concluded that Jason hates networking approximately

Code: Select all

Can't be that much. I mean, he didn't start a devnetwork if he hated networking that much, isn't it?

Well, site is running very smooth again it seems!

I haven't been having ANY problems with the site as of the past few days. :)

I think our DNS hell has been overcome. I never had problems before, but I haven't heard of any problems since the DNS stuff was taken care of.

It was working fine for me yesterday, but I seem to have come across the 'can't find the server at forums.devnetwork.net' problem again :(

BTW, thanks for the tip about the sid
