holy crap - This is what I get for spending a few days away from PHPDN!

Thanks everyone!!!

Now, to answer your collective questions:

The 8th was Ole's last day in Canada before heading back to the UK (presumably to pack & return) so we threw a big combined birthday/goodbye party at a bar/restaurant downtown called "Red Room". A good time was had by all. So good, in fact, that we still hadn't slept by the time we arrived at the airport. After Ole hopped in his tin can I had breakfast with a friend and promptly slept for the next 14 hours. Good times. There may be pictures.

If I were to vote for a Canadian as President of the US it would have to be Céline Dion. Just to get rid of her. And that bitch Anne Murray too.

Also, happy birthday to you too Zoxive!

Whoa you're right. I didn't know this thread was here.

Yeah it was great.

He's right. You should.

I've just looked at my replies here, I thought I had something valuable to add to this thread. Guess I don't. How superfluous I am right now. Meh.

Happy Birthday!

I'm sure no one here wants to hear this (including me), but I'm going to write it any way.

:drunk:

Happy birthday to you,
happy birthday to you,
happy birthday both of you,
happy birthday to you!

I'll be 14 in Feb (not that anyone cares). I'll be, like, ancient.

That would be highly uncharacteristic of you. I provide evidence:
In a conversation between me and Greg (Kieran's roomy of 6 years) wrote:ole: So have you got anything for Kieran?
greg: Uh no. Should I?
ole: Well it's his birthday tomorrow.
greg: It is? Oh right. Well the way it usually works is Kieran tells me it's his birthday and then we go for a beer
I think it was only because it was my last night that anything was actually planned, although I could be wrong. It's a testiment to Kieran's popularity that, even with very little notice, tonnes of people turned up. We had to rearrange the furniture a couple of times to cope with the influx. I can't tell you guys how awesome that is. Toronto is the smurf's bee's knees, with extra rubbed in cheese (it's good).

Damn you Kieran you've got me saying words like "awesome" and "dude" all the time now :P
