Since every Irish person in the nation is fascinated with this daring heist.
The story is that one indignant soul walked into the St. James brewery, and proceeded to drive away a loaded truck carrying 180 kegs of Guinness stout, 180 kegs of U.S. lager Budweiser and 90 kegs of Danish beer Carlsberg, whom Guinness owns the Irish brewing rights for. Now that Guinness is responsible for Budweiser and Carlsberg in Ireland is not surprise (quite popular over here by heathen non-Guinness drinkers). It's considered the single greatest raid on a Guinness brewery.
Police said the raider took 180 kegs of Guinness stout, 180 kegs of U.S. lager Budweiser and 90 kegs of Danish beer Carlsberg. Guinness brews both of those foreign brands under license for sale in Ireland.
If they catch the robber, what will his punishment be??
You know that Annheuser-Busch stole the name Budweiser, in the first place, don't you? I toured the original Budweiser brewery in the Czech Republic a few years ago: http://ravey.net/vac00-4.php

like WHAT???
Tangible property...something with market value...digital cameras, laptops, etc...
I've been offered many times in the past to buy these kinds of products (I'm a warrany kind of guy so I never buy illegal) but never has someone asked if I would like to buy a 24 of beer.
Not sure what I would say...as a warranty doesn't really matter...I might even say: "sure...gimme 50% off and I'll share it with ya!".

In the past, the outlawed Irish Republican Army and other gangs have hijacked truck shipments of alcoholic beverages and cigarettes for resale in pubs run by sympathizers or friends.

Didn't tour the brewery but on a recent visit to prague I drank a hell of a lot of Budweiser Budvar, good stuff.
