I think people are continually missing the point - the MacBook AIR is a publicity coup. Who cares if in the short-term it sucks? By late Summer or early-Winter they'll revise the product line to encompass the expected SSD price reductions, bumped up processor availability, and the feedback from early adopters as to what works or not. They'll have to because Sony and Co. will have to respond and we already know Intel's downsized processor lineup is now in production (and they're not Apple exclusives now are they?). Take a lesson from the iPhone early adoption syndrome - the first version is always going to be feature light and ultra-expensive.

Personally I'm far more concerned about where the damn MacBook Pro update vanished to! ;). I heard a rumour someone edited Wikipedia about a announcement tomorrow or the following Tuesday which might be true. Makes sense they wouldn't want to eclipse the MacBook Air announcement right away...
