Hey, if you're like me you download lots and lots of software apps.
I have so many downloaded zips and exe's that I have no clue what's what anymore.

Anyway, I am using Download Butler to catalog all future downloaded stuff, but what about the 10GB of downloads I already have?

There are quite a few catalogers on the market but none of them seem to have the ability to extract some sort of information from the exe's or zips themselves during a disk scan. I don't want to have to do it all by hand.

Any suggestions?

I've probably had over 50GB of such downloads over the course of 7 years.
I just lose track of what they are and delete them.
But with removable storage being so cheap these days.....

So I'm finally trying to keep track of them. But it sucks.

Yea with CDs in my area being just $.80 ea. It's cheaper to buy a 20 pack instead of a new HD. But organization is soo hard. When i want a file on one of my 15 CDs, i have to seriously look through all 15.

I heard about this directory mapping program from tech TV which i'm currently searching for, once i find it i'll be sure to post a link for you.
