Use Yaho!? Nawwwww...
Who here uses yahoo? Who here uses google? Who here uses Live?
If I were in charge here, I'd ex-comunicate all users of anything but google!
Well, lets have it!
Oh, and also, let me know why
google users don't have to

Well, if I ever thought about using Yahoo before, I sure wouldn't, now that MS is trying to buy them!
But seriously, Google offers more than other search engines and probably has the largest database of web pages and arguably the best relevance ranking. Why spend time learning the quirks of another SE?

I trust Google with my search results. I can't say the same from other engines.... also the layout is clean, they're not trying to beat you over the head with their partner offers.
Also, Google is the default search in FF, which is convenient.

i personally use Google, and do all my sites SEO efforts solely targeted at Google.
I will say though that if MSN search takes over yahoo, ill be quids in as i am remarkably good (and i have no idea why) at getting #1 on MSN live.

Google. Clean, fast, developer friendly, etc. I know Rasmus and a bunch of other PHP core team members work at Yahoo, but seriously, can anyone compete with Google?
In case you wondering, the answer is no.

Post deleted because some people get antsy whenever they see a single referral link, even when it is perfectly relevant.
Ridiculous.

Jcart did what any moderator would have done. He changed your referral link to a general link. It fits within the rules of our forum.Josh1billion wrote:Post deleted because some people get antsy whenever they see a single referral link, even when it is perfectly relevant.Ridiculous.

Your comment was wrong on many levels, google (ill keep it civil, in my opinion) is by far the better interface and this is one of the main reasons google is so far ahead of its competition, when it started it was purely a search engine, and the best at it, yahoo is cluttered and although to you and i it may be second nature to be able to use 99% of web interfaces most people prefer the simplicity of the google interface, plus its faster, lots faster. You really do need to hand it to Larry and Sergey for there simplistic approach im sure many a web developer (me included) would of tacked on may extra's
Windows for GUI? Apple is widely regarded by everyone on the planet (and the outer universe) to be far superior in this area than the competition.
Re: Use Yaho!? Nawwwww...
The only reasons the general public go to windows most of the time is that the machines are often cheaper, they are more readily available, their friend told them go get one (Because they dont know about macs/linux), and because they play most games. It has nothing to do with the GUI. The Mac, and even Gnome/KDE GUI's are just as good, and as malcolmboston states, often better.hannnndy wrote:i think gui is important too that is why most of the computer users using windows

I'm just going to pretend I didn't ever see you say that.hannnndy wrote:google is my favorite but the yahoo is with the better interface and gui i think gui is important too that is why most of the computer users using windows
And for the record deleting the referral link was stupid. There are numerous people here who occasionally plug their own stuff.
