I often use Ventrilo to communicate with friends and people i work on projects with.
I'm wondering if I paid to have say a 20 man Ventrilo server hosted for programmers, would anyone join?
I think it would be a great way to ask questions, get answers, and discuss programming really quickly without interfering with your work.
What do you guys say?
For those who don't know what ventrilo is:
Ventrilo is a lightweight program that allows you to join a server to communicate (via voice usually, chat is optional) with other people.
Usually a server has many channels, so conversations can be kept private or organized by subject, kind of like this board.
Ventrilo is simple to use. Once you're logged on you can listen to other people talk, talk your self, and move to different channels.
